The Liljevalchs Spring Salon has been a lively tradition ever since its inception in 1921. Of the almost 3,000 applications to the 2020 Spring Salon, which will open on January 10, the jury has selected 170 artists, who will present a total of 330 works.
Just like last autumn the fair Grand Antiques Art & Design will be held at Liljevalchs. For four days, 12–15 September, Sweden´s foremost antique dealers will exhibit selected works in art, antiquity and jewellery.
Photographer Anders Petersen has spent four years documenting the people and urban spaces of Stockholm. The exhibition is a unique document of our time, its hustle and bustle and tranquil spaces, its joy, sorrow and love.
In the gap between the 2019 Spring Salon and Anders Petersens’ photo exhibition Stockholm, Jan Håfström’s painting installation Hotel Eden will be presented in Liljevalchs’ sculpture hall.
The Art Fair each shows our art from prominent Nordic galleries and artists. Visitors can buy art, go on guided tours or on their own discover high-class art from the Nordic countries. Seminars and other events are also held during the fair.
The Spring Salon at Liljevalchs is a cherished, controversial and lively tradition dating back to 1921. This year, the art year begins on 25 January when we open the doors to a Spring Salon with 136 participants showing 254 works.
